Middle School Strength + Weight Training

Our Middle School Strength Training class introduces youth to key fitness concepts through weekly focus areas. Starting with basic warm-ups, stretches, and fun games, we then explore different muscle groups and movements, including legs, arms, and core. As the program progresses, participants will work on mobility, agility, and cardio, helping them understand and apply these skills effectively. This program provides a safe, structured, and engaging environment for your teen to develop essential fitness skills and habits that will benefit them throughout their lives. Sessions are open to active Teen Members and Family Members. Participants must have completed Teen Wellness Orientation.

Sessions are led by Sarah Gremelsbacker, a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with a BA in Exercise Science from UVM. Sarah’s expertise in kinesiology and focus on functional movement ensures that participants will learn proper form and techniques tailored to their individual needs. This is especially important for growing teens, as it promotes long-term health and helps prevent injuries. Sarah will be assisted as needed by other wellness staff.
